Music for learning Spanish
Behind RojasMusic is José Víctor Rojas Caballero, a musician and educator who brings music and Spanish learning together. Born in Bolivia and now based in the United States, Víctor holds teaching licenses in Vocal/Choral Music and Spanish as a Foreign Language, both from pre-K through grade 12.
A life in music education
Teaching has taken Víctor from Bolivia to Venezuela and the United States. He founded the “Franklin Anaya Arze” Institute for Comprehensive Education and Musical Training and taught music education at the Instituto Normal Superior in Bolivia and the Instituto Universitario Pedagógico Experimental de Maturín in Venezuela.
At Henson Valley Montessori School in the United States, Víctor created many of the songs and teaching materials that would become the heart of his Spanish program. Seeing his students make progress through music inspired him to share that approach with more children, families, and teachers. Today, RojasMusic brings those songs together for learning and singing at home and in the classroom.
